CFTSI Therapy
The Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention helps children ages 3-18 and their caregivers recover from traumatic experiences when implemented within 30-45 days following a traumatic event or disclosure of sexual or physical abuse.
The unimaginable happens. Your child experiences a car accident, a natural disaster, school/community violence, domestic violence, or some other traumatic event. Or worse yet, physical or sexual abuse is disclosed.

You've reported to the proper authorities and done everything else you are supposed to do. But you are worried about your child's ability to manage their experience or developing PTSD. Not only that but how are you supposed to manage your own thoughts and feelings so that you can support your child?

CFTSI, Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention, is a brief therapy process of 5-8 hour long sessions for children (ages 3-18) and their caregivers that helps families navigate and reduce the impact of a recent traumatic event or disclosure of abuse.

During these sessions you will be able to learn common symptoms and emotional and behavioral responses your child might be exhibiting. You and your child will be able to better understand and find the words to describe what they are currently going through, learn effective coping skills to deal with trauma triggers, and learn how to talk about the trauma in a way that is less intimidating.

CFTSI helps kids and caregivers feel better, improves caregiver-child communication, and helps decrease the development of chronic PTSD.

My usual and customary fee for Initial CFTSI Intake Sessions is $200 and all other following CFTSI sessions are $175. Questions regarding insurance coverage or reduced rates can be addressed during a free connection call. You may also be eligible for reimbursement through the California Victim Compensation Board.
